Gildmending Ritual

The Gildmending Ritual, a revered tradition among the Goldfists, was a rite of passage where molten gold was grafted onto an ogre's skin, symbolizing their entry into adulthood and their commitment to the clan. The process was painful, yet it was seen as a mark of honour, a way to embody the strength of Dwi'Thek, the legendary ogre believed to have skin of solid gold hidden beneath his red skin. Today, under Aur'Un's rule, the ritual is used to mend wounds or replace lost limbs with golden weapons. The gold, now tainted by corruption, serves as a physical bond to the Gildsworn's will, ensuring that those who undergo the ritual are forever tied to the Goldfists, their loyalty sealed in gold.
