Matteus Deane
Matteus Deane is an elderly vohkin botanist who has made his home in Tarnford for many years. Despite being almost blind, his other senses have become incredibly sharp, allowing him to tend to his shade plants with great care and precision. He runs the shop Hosta La Vista, which specializes in a variety of shade plants and rare hostas. Matteus is known for his extensive knowledge of plant care and his willingness to share his expertise with anyone who shows an interest. He is kind-hearted and patient, but can be somewhat absent-minded at times. Matteus is often seen wearing a wide-brimmed hat to shield his sensitive eyes from the sunlight.
