Sloop

A sloop ship is a type of small, single-masted sailing vessel, typically used for coastal and inland waterway transport and trade. They are known for their agility and maneuverability in shallow waters, as well as their speed and ease of handling.
The sloop is characterized by its narrow, shallow hull and single mast, which is equipped with a large triangular sail, allowing it to make the most of the wind. The ship is operated by a smaller crew, usually 2-4, and has limited deck space, cargo capacity, and accommodations compared to larger ships.
A sloop could be also armed with light weaponry such as bows, archers or swivel gun, to be able to defend itself against small-scale pirate attacks or other maritime dangers. They can be used for transporting goods, passengers, and reconnaissance duties. Due to its design, the sloop is ideal for navigating the narrow, shallow rivers and creeks of Galfin and its coastal regions, making it a useful tool for trade and commerce in those areas.
