Stonemen of Hauk

The Stonemen of Hauk are large cairn stone statues built in ancient times that show areas of great importance to the modern yergralffe. Their major cities were builts around these 30 ft tall stone stacks.   Stories are told of the old frost giants building these statues as beacons for the spirits of the Ayre Lands to find their way through the frigid snowstorms. Over time the Gaulan population found these statues and built near them. The fires at the base burn for centuries using the fat oils from the rare Narwheye creature.   The warmth of the fires are common places for communal feasts and weddings. Most important ceremonies take place at the base of the Stonemen. Nightly cooking is a regular occurrence for the people of the North because fending for yourself leads to folly. Sometimes the frost giants wander into towns and without saying a word, clean up sections of their ancestors builds and then leave without acknowledging the townsfolk around them.
