Timbermane

Timbermane, the ancient Greendreamer of the Botanoron, was a figure of solemn responsibility and wisdom, dedicating his long existence to tending the sacred resting place of the forest's elders. With bark as gnarled as ancient oak and leaves tinged with the silver of countless seasons, Timbermane ensured that the spirits of the forest’s past lived on through the roots of Incantum. His life was one of quiet solitude, a keeper of memories in the shadowed groves where the elders slept, their knowledge seeping into the earth like whispered secrets.
During the most recent Conveyance of the Green, Timbermane faced a harrowing challenge. Yewclaw, the Shepherd of the White Herd, never reached the Botanoron to complete the sacred ritual, leaving the forest vulnerable at its most crucial moment. As the last treant to go to sleep, Timbermane’s task became even more burdensome, knowing that the ritual could falter. With the aid of the Royal Procession, he summoned the strength to perform the ceremony, transferring the cathedral seeds to four new Cathedral Ents. Their newfound power was just enough to quell the firestorm that ravaged Eleyond during the Summer of Smoke.
In his final act as Greendreamer, Timbermane passed his power to Driftrott, an outcast ent known for his resilience and unorthodox ways. The solemn duty of tending to the resting elders was now Driftrott’s, a task marked by solitude but also by the quiet honour of preserving the wisdom of ages. As Timbermane rooted himself into the Botanoron one last time, his spirit became a part of the forest's deep memory, a guardian of knowledge that would continue to guide Incantum through the ages.
Was the last treant to go to sleep during the Conveyance of the Green. Yewclaw never reached the resting place before the ceremony.
