Court of Mandor
To say Mandarian court life is complicated is but a mild understatement of the truest of facts. Mandorian court life is a web so finally woven not a single bug might slip through. To begin with the Court of Courts is the court within the Capitol and the most powerful as it is the rulers most direct people. Under the C of C are all the other courts within the Palace, one for each Queen and Consort then more for their children and the most highly respected Houses keep courts as well then those in the capitol city are often extensions of the micro envionrment within the palace then as one goes further into Mandor it expands more. The least powerful of courts being the Seeker Court where in resides all of the religion automatically.
Structure
Each court has a minimum of 17 people, 17 being a sacred number. The position within each court corresponds to one of the 17 moons of Gandrian. There exists always one person outside of these 17 positions they are the sun. For a court too exist there must be a sun. The sun takes one of the titles of the suns and then people positions are dependent on which moon most meets the sun.
Meas is the highest position and the closest to the sun, usually a meas is a powerful individual in their own right but serving the sun is considered a much better position because whatever power does not lend authority.
After the Meas is the Ausum this courtier is usually like the second and also a director of those lower in the court, they often act with the authority of the Sun while the Meas takes more direct care of the Sun.
Third is the Alquamar this person is in charge of who gets to see the Sun they give invitations and deny visitations and decide who takes up the suns time.
Fourth is the Cada, who is in charge of wealth how is spent and what its spent on they ar sin charge of business ventures and securing all valuables
Fifth Onwa is in charge of foods and medicines that also are in charge of medical issues and care, Onwa's are non to rise in power if a sun takes ill or is often medically laid down.
Sixth Masina is usually a catch all position they are messengers and generally in charge of travel and language barriers, to be a Masina one must know at least three languages unknown by their Sun. (Many Suns know at least 3 so Masina often know six or more.)
Seventh Ghealach, are often warriors though the Ghealach is most often a hidden guard some have been known to openly guard their suns sometimes the Ghealach will preside over two positions lower or higher then the given title itself.
Eigth Tsuki, most commonly known for their beauty Tsuki are tailors, cultural gurus and charming people all around Tsuki's often act as Ambassadors to other courts and their smiles are infamous for seduction though often Tsuki take vows of monody tot heir suns, even when not sexually involved.
Ninth Sanda, sanda are freinds and companions known for their amiable nature and naivety most often a Sanda is picked from the lower class outside the court system and protected from inner politics and their only true power lie in how much their Sun likes them.
Tenth Mesiac, mesiacs are usually guests who travel between courts most often they are spies from other courts and must be treated with caution though officially the position is to foster trust by letting other courts old positions within your own as representatives within their own courts these people are often one of the two above positions.
Eleventh Dayax, this is where the system changes to what amounts to the secondary tear, the Dayax positions and those below don't belong to single people unless there is only seventeen people in the court, the Dayax are the difference between Lady's-in-waiting the above positions, the handmaiden the Dayax, and the servants the lower positions. The Dayax are favored servants who are trusted and often assist the avocet ladies or gentlemen.
Twelve Yueliang are the shadow servants the spies who hold poison at court to remain within the higher powers. Yueliang are the young couriers without power hoping to gain favor by reporting or spreading rumors, some are openly affiliated with a court some are secretly affiliated with more then one in the end their goals are personal and they all hope to rise in power.
Thirteen Dal, usually called Dolls a derogate term the courtiers of this tear are decretive and accompany their ladies who are usually no higher then the third or firth position, they play dress up boost egos fill parties but remain neutral on most topics, the men and women of this class most often are people willing to bend to power so they need not make power plays.
Fourteen Mjesec, these are the people of hard labor in higher courts they are imigrants meant to add variety to a court but among the more common courts these are the laymen who find protection within the court, they provide for the court through taxes and the court protects them from other courts or hard times.
Fifteen Nila, the people of waters, the Nila are odd people within court they often have whatever skill the Sun has an interest in be that one skill or many the Nila has at least one they are very good at, they can rise and fall in a Sun's interest but their actual power is small they are like artists and the sun their patron.
Sixteen, Bulan are those who seek protection, this position is one of the few not required at a court at al times, these are people who hide within more powerful courts to avoid their enemies, they can move into other positions but their existence proves the power of one court over another.
Seventeen, Fengari are the outcast, often thought of as an extension of the Bulan Fengari are required at court they are those without homes, illness, or other reasons to be destitute. They have no power but a court requires the Fengari because without at least one other courts can challenge its right to exist. Since courts where created by Maria many positions where meant to help others, or foster relationships but have changed since then but one rule that hasn't changed is a court without a Fengari isn't a court.
Culture
The sun is the center of the world to its court and though in another court someone might rank higher then you if you belong to a more important court you have more authority th only position this does not hold true for are the Bulan, being a Bulan means one has no power whatsoever and you can not have power until you are no longer Bulan. The reason for all of this is the culture of the courts allows for a lot of violence but the position one holds can limit or get rid of the violence but to have power one must be wiling to fight for it.
Public Agenda
The public agenda of all court is to better the people it presides over. If a Sun does not better their court they are stripped of their rights and can join no other court they are outcast but not Fengari. To be a part of a court means to be protected or powerful but never both.
Assets
All courts must have assets, either in power, wealth or people.
History
Maria created courts so the powerful where required to protect the week but over time these things have been lost with the exception of some rules and the positions Maria's original creation has been twisted far from its original shape.
