The language of the pilgrims Orvo's origins lie in the island nation to the south of Orori/Mandor known as Laimen or Aldeck through time the nation has a high population of Seekers and travelers that have enriched the language with foreign words making it a highly used language. Often called common on Orori/Mandor its the most common language found in mainland Mandor though it is still second to the main language of the continent which is Selsesi spoken more near highly populated water ways.
Writing System
The alphabet is one of the smallest known alphabets with only 12 recorded characters, consisting of three vowels and nine consents that result in the full sound range that spoken Orvo demonstrates this is possible as many sounds are made through sound pairs, the ee sound can be made either through the ii pair or between a vowel and a consistent as it is with the ni and in pairings. The alphabet is :i o a n d m h v r t w l. All other names have been misspelled by locals if they include other letters such as the commonly referenced Orwell. Spelled in Orvo as Vil but when spoken sounding like the word well it has been commonly commented upon as the exception of the language but us not as a scholar of Orvo would spell Orwell as Orvil.
Most commonly spoken inland of Mandor, Aldnock/Laimen, along some trade routes.
Most sounds in the language come from collections, two letters are pessary to make a sound. The n can make many sounds depending on the next letter, if it is i then the sound is nee, if the next letter is d, the sound is th, if the first letter is i, then the sound is eem. Commonly the language is used separately from its written system so this is not a conflict for other similar languages that make different combinations.
Most words in Orvo come from the root god names, Or, Nori, and Mora but this sub religion was not created till well into the languages development. The god base names include Horisli, Or, Mali, and other gods not present in the Vonti religion the language in commonly associated with.
The rules are not many, the natural element comes first, so if one talks about the color of the sky fist comes the sky then comes its description finally come the self or other so if it sounds like "I love how blue the sky is." in this language it will be more like "Sky is blue loved is this by me." If the subject is manmade then the sentence structure changes so anything made of metal will come after the subject. "Made by me is this metal bracelet." The action of change comes first. One reason for this is because the original religion found nature to be the highest form of being and humans change was the this human being the second level an the sorta zero level being the gods who where nature.
