Namki

The namki1 are the largest tribe which inhabits the Deþren Mountains of northern Túlmikkía, specifically in the region of Namk around the lakes from which the great rivers of Vagalkan to the north originate.
Namki are important both to the Galkans to the north and Vevúni to the south of the mountains, as they allow merchants to travel across their land and many also serve as mercenaries for both peoples. They also produce goods such as cinnamon, copper, gold and frankincense.

Culture

Apparel

Namki clothing is generally light, with men and women alike wearing little more than skirts or loincloths. Commoners usually wear animal skins or moss while the aristocracy wears linen clothes imported from Vagalkan.
Face- and body-paint is common, usually made from ochre or other minerals.

Cuisine

Namki diet is based on sunflower seeds and -to less extend- maize, cheese, butter, fish and mutton, along with with wild game. Spiced corn beer is the main beverage.
