Eldheim

Eldheim is the creation of Esastrov, the Meadeye, and is mead hall seemingly adrift on the endless oceans of planar realities, which results in it either being in the center of all things, or, as some would claim, is the end of all things.    Either way, it somehow retains structural integrity despite these philosophical disagreements.   The mead offered is both copious and delicious. Some imbibers describe the sweetsuckle notes of yearning subtly mixed with the pleasantly sharp tang of possibility. Other drinkers just describe it as "good."

Purpose / Function

It isn't entirely clear if Eldheim exists because Esatrov exists, or if it is the other way around, but that distinction does not change why it exists, which is to provide a place for weary "noble travelers" in pursuit of "estimable goals" to rest and regain their footing as they continue their quest.    It isn't clear how much sway Esatrov has over what is considered an "estimable goal." If she herself knows, she has declined to elaborate further.

Tourism

Everyone at Eldheim, with the exception of Esatrov, is, in essence, a tourist. These are the "noble travelers" that comprise the mead hall's population at any given time. Spanning planes of both reality and existence, there doesn't seem to be a linking factor between these travelers other than that they are here, in the mead hall.   Those that are here are pulled here for a reason, perhaps unknown even to themselves. The circumstances of their departure from Eldheim may well be equally unknown.   The duration of travelers' visits varies. Some stay mere minutes. Some stay years. Some never again cross the threshold of the mead hall after leaving it while others find their way back here time and time again.
