Intervention Overview

Continuing their investigation from The Penitent: Down & Out in Deadtown Part 1, Penitents Doric, Sennic, and Kharesen ventured deeper into Deadtown to discover who or what might be murdering the ghosts present there. That led them to The Hammered Horn--a cabaret in Deadtown that is the site of the latest murder. There, after interviewing some performers and examining the crime scene, they discovered clear links to the Necropastures, another area of Deadtown. Venturing there revealed threats in the form of rogue banshees and eel hounds, but they persevered. Eventually, they discovered that a cult called the Weeping Veil was responsible for these murders, eliminating perceived threats to their power-play in Deadtown and using the "soul essence" harvested from the deadfolk to fuel their own dark machinations. Combat with the cult leaders commenced and resolved with the Penitents eliminating this threat to the chaotic stability of Deadtown. For now.

Salient Details

In Necropastures, the Penitent met Scout, a friend of Devila, who offered them some magic takis that were especially nourishing.
