Session 1: Lost, Season 1 Report

General Summary

From Bay 4, Mark, Jars, Ramble, Gregor, and Luna all survived with only minor injuries. Their bay landed in the middle of the island's lake, and they managed to scramble out and deploy an emergency raft before the bay sank into the water. Bay 3 split in half upon impact on the cliffside; the half containing Lissi and Onyx Vallis, the Oread solarian, rolled down to the beach below. Onyx's legs suffered crushing damage when his pod cracked on top of him, but thanks to Lissi, they were both able to crawl out of the wreckage safely. In Bay 2, Shep and the android passenger both survived, though the android was forced to amputate his left arm. Unfortunately, the two other passengers in the bay did not make it. As Shep and the android made it out, Bay 2 took a tumble down a sheer cliffside and down into the lake below. Bay 1 similarly only yielded two survivors: Jiore and a wounded elven woman with a gash across her abdomen. Over the next hour, the 4 groups of survivors converged at the beach (area 8) with only a few minor incidents. They eventually came up with a game plan, and Lissi was appointed leader by conch shell according to Jars. Mark and Shep left the beach to explore the forests to the south, foraging for food and wood, and returned successfully after 4 hours. Meanwhile, Lissi, Jars, Jiore, and the other passengers did their best to set up a base camp on the beach. Jars and the skittermander, Ramble, converted the beach bound half of Bay 3 into a makeshift shelter (a small electrical fire briefly hampering their progress) with an additional awning made from umbrellas. Lissi spent some time digging a fire pit and a latrine while Jiore did his best to look after the wounded. Additionally, Lissi, Jars, and Ramble went on a brief fishing expedition, coming back with a fruitful bounty of a 7-finned carp. After Mark and Shep returned to the beach camp, the rag tag group of survivors set up camp and had a filling if bare meal. As rain started to come down and the sky darkened, the survivors headed to sleep. Mark took a first uneventful watch. Shep took second watch; midway through he heard rustling from the nearby forest and wisely got up to investigate on his own. As he crept along the undergrowth of the forest, he suddenly heard a sharp cry in his ear and turned to find the beak of a feathered dinosaur descending upon him.
