Frost Bay Colony
Frostvik is a calm and quite colony like its motherland. It was first colonized in 1619 and saw slow expansion because of its harsh climate and conditions. Though experienced living in similar conditions back home, Sørsk colonists were stuggling for a long time to build and new livelihood in these Southern parts of Sinisterra. Plenty of colonies failed, but through persistence and plenty of support from the monarchy back in Granfjell, the colony today provides rich resources and trade.
Many of its resources are transported back to Aldion where they are processed into manufactured goods. The few industrial centres in Frostvik however do produce plenty of lumber and wood products such as furniture and construction materials. There is even some advanced steel production in the colonies. And interestingly enough the colony is known for its excellent craftsmanship when it comes to clock- and watchmaking.
The colony knows little conflict and threat, other than those posed by its animals and climate. Honouring the neutral attitude of its motherland, the colony is also a safe haven for natives that were driven from their lands. It prides itself on having been able top adopt a friendly attitude towards natives through most of its history of colonization and prides itself on its preservation of native reserves where locals still largely live their traditional life, values and norms.
