Lady of the Lake

The Lady of the Lake is the traditional deity of the Ecquois people and plays a significant part in the founding of the Grand Duchy of Equitaine. She is the spirit of the land itself and her blessings bring plentiful harvests and victory in battle. She gives life to the land and protection to the valorous. It is said that those who are truly pure of heart may undertake an arduous quest to find her and, if they are truly worthy, may be offered a sip from her enchanted grail. Those so blessed gain long life, great vigour, and freedom from fear.
Legend says that she appeared to Gilles de Bastonne and bid him gather his seven companions that he might drive back the rampaging hordes of monsters and unite all of Equitaine.
