King of Kingsland

This is the title bestowed apon whoever rules the kingdom of Kingsland.

Requirements

You have to be related to the previous king, must be at least 20, and must be an elf or half elf.

Appointment

There is a crowining ceremony, the high mage must be in attendance and the priest of The Church of Light places the crown on the king's head. they then become ruler of all of Kingsland.

Duties

The king's dutes are to protect the intrests of the kingdom, as well as its people.

Benefits

The position weilds emmence political power, and comes with many benefits such as the entire treasury of Kingsland.

The crown of Kingsland and king Speargreat I's sword.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The only way to be removed from the position is if the holder dies.

History

Elven states and tribes created the title in 900 BR. The first holder was Goldfinger I. The crown also banished the wood elves around this time. when king Speargreat I dragon tamer held the title, he made peace with the dragons (which Kingsland was at war with) and tamed one. he also built the dragon stables (now the theatre), the great library, and the mage tower. the crown also abolished the ban on wood elves. the title lost some significance as the kingdom grew smaller. when tyushpu nuntonhi took over the world, he officially abolished the title, but the rebellion still served a king and he was reinstated. the title has taken part in no other major historical events.

Cultural Significance

by elves it is a biggest title to be bestowed, even though you do not rule much land, the political power is emmense.
