Curse of Flesh
Transmission & Vectors
The Curse of Flesh is transmitted by birth, when one member of a Giantforged race gives birth to another member of a Giantforged race. During its creation, it was transmitted by Tharizdun.
Treatment
There is no reversal to the Curse of Flesh, as those who originally possessed it are all deceased, and no modern member of a Giantforged race possessed the anatomy of the construct that came before them.
History
Near the end of the Second Age, the Empire of Giants fell. Their kingdoms were left in ruin, their population was reduced to a fraction of its size at their height, and many of their constructs were left de-powered. These ruins were left for the final decades of the Second Age, but the damages of war weakened the areas of these ruins, allowing the influence of the sealed Tharizdun to take hold in the area. The maddening power began to reach out towards the bodies of these constructs, warping them into the image of their creators, giving them flesh, blood, muscles and organs. Over hours, many of these constructs were reshaped into the modern mortal races classified as Giantforged. From the Earthen came the Dwarves, from the Mechagnomes came the Gnomes, and from the Iron Goliaths came the Goliaths and later the Humans.
