Public Agenda

The public agenda of the Kenereth Empire is to have a well-protected bastion of civilized living for its people. They strive for military power, naval dominance & solid trade relations with other nations. They maintain good morals and values among their laws and citizens.

Demography and Population

The empire owns most of northern Lanora, as well as the archipelago of Calathis. Its peoples are divided among: Humans (32.4%), Tritons (21.3%), Elves (12.1%), Dragonborn (11.5%), Genasi (6%), Aarakocra (5.7%), Half-Elves (~3%), Tortle (~1%), Other Races (~7%).
There are many subgroups within those species. For Humans: Kenerese (74.3%), Calathian (25.7%). For Elves: Wood Elf (39.1%), High Elf (28.3%), Sea Elf (22.5%), Dark Elf (~2.6%), Other (7.5%). For Dragonborn: Green (27.2%), Blue (20.3%), Bronze (18.1%), White (8.6%), Silver (7.1%), Black (6.7%), Topaz (~4%), Crystal (~2%) Other (~6%). For Genasi: Water Genasi (54.3%), Earth Genasi (26.4%), Air Genasi (19.3%).

Territories

The northern lands of Lanora are occupied by the Empire of Kenereth, whose predecessor nations have held the land for generations before them.
The empire also forcefully occupies the archipelago of Calathis, a land which they aim to colonize and assimilate into the Empire. Calathis was previously a neutral territory independent to any nation, and the forceful takeover by Kenereth is one of many reasons behind the increasing tensions. Many nations are not enthused by Kenereth's occupation, but they also recognize that doing anything about it would put the empire's overwhelming military might against them.

Religion

The enforced religion of the Kenerese Empire is the Church of Erathis, the worship of the Goddess of Civilization, who views community, expansion and invention as core tenets that should be revered. This reverence is what inspires the expansionary values of the Empire, leading to their territorial expansion and recent colonization of Calathis. Other worshipped deities of the Empire are Bahamut, God of Honor & Justice, Ioun, Goddess of Knowledge, Pelor, God of Light and The Raven Queen, Goddess of Fate & Death.
Due to their vile and evil commandments, the worship of the following gods have been outlawed: Asmodeus, God of Devils, Bane, God of Strife, Gruumsh, God of Destruction, Lolth, Goddess of Spiders, Tharizdun, God of Corruption, Tiamat, Goddess of Greed, Torog, God of Slavery, Vecna, God of Secrets, and Zehir. God of Poisons.
After their colonization of Calathis, in an attempt to assimilate the Calathian people to the traditions of the Kenerese Empire, the worship of Melora, Goddess of the Wilds has been outlawed.

Foreign Relations

The Empire has a very tense relationship with many other nations. For its constant military assembling, naval dominance and territorial expansion, it has constantly merited fearful reactions from other countries. Sharea especially does not hold a favorable opinion of the Empire, due to their clashing values. Kenereth & Nealthys have never really gotten along, and have been in several wars in the past, leading to many conflicts and poor relations. Kenereth and Kurn Darum have better relations, due to their similar military powers and values. Kenereth holds a very positive view of Calathis due to its potential and resources, but the oppressed people of Calathis see no merit to being colonized, leading to sometimes outright hostile confrontation between Thronesguard and native peoples.

Trade & Transport

All of Kenereth's international trade is done through the government-sanctioned Kenerese Trading Company.

A mighty power from sea to sea.

If that's their public agenda, do they also have a secret agenda? :O
