Commander Velan is without a doubt the most despised man at Black Point. Slovenly, rude and arrogant are only a few of his traits. His family bought him a military commission due to a unseemly affair with another noble house. Commander Velan has no military experience or discipline and uses his power of authority only to bully anyone who catches his eye. His men despise him and mock him at every turn. Though most have learned to make sure the commander is out of ear shot first. Not only is his brutal to his men but harem of woman he "shelters" A ruse for his whore house at the point.
