Helm's Hold

Helm's Hold is a fortified town and cathedral dedicated to the god Helm, located about a days ride to the northeast of the city of Tabar. The town's population has decreased over the last few years. The strict edicts of Desther has driven many commoners away. Some merely go missing and no ones why. Rumors are starting to circle about Desther. Rumors that he talks to himself, even argues with himself. He has become deleterious and has sent many of his clerics and paladins on death missions. With the lack of people the Scorched Woods has nearly over taken the town. Some say dark things lurk the woods now.
