Kamisato Takehide (神里岳英 Kamisato Takehide)

Lord Takehide Kamisato

Kamisato Takehide is a Japanese-born alumnus of Teyvat Academy. He was one of the heads of the Kamisato family until he willingly passed it down to his son, Takeshi. He married a daughter of the Sakai family, Sakai Kahori. He was the father of Kamisato Takeshi. He is the grandfather of Kamisato Ayato and Kamisato Ayaka, and the great-grandfather of Kamisato Fynn.   He is distantly related to his granddaughter-in-law, Yukimura Yukiko, as Yukiko is the great-granddaughter of Kamisato Aisa, a distant cousin of Takehide's father, Nariaki. However, this relation to the Yukimura family was no longer publicly talked about since Kamisato Aisa's death.

Pre-Roleplay

Education at Teyvat Academy

While at Teyvat Academy, Takehide was in the Inazuma Dorm, and also the Tri-Commission varsity team - specifically a captain in the sub-unit, the Yashiro Commission. He was also on the Inazuma Student Council - known as the Inazuma Shogunate.   While he was studying there, he met Sakai Kahori, who he would later marry. While he had heard of her before, he only met her for the first time during their education. He was in the same class as Kaedehara Hisamichi, Nishimoto Aemi, Yukimura Kuri, and Kujou Shohei. He was personally very close with Yukimura Kuri, as Kuri was the daughter of Kamisato Aisa, the distant cousin of Takehide's father, and Aisa and Nariaki were almost inseparable during their childhoods.   It is believed that Takehide and Kuri had some underlying feelings for each other, but for reasons unknown, they never acted on these feelings. A potential reason is that Nariaki had arranged with the Sakai family for Takehide to marry Kahori. Although Nariaki was willing to go back on the agreement if Takeshi had someone else, Kuri didn't confess her feelings and instead told Takehide to marry Kahori as she would be happy just to see the Kamisato family be as successful as possible.

Marriage

Takehide married Kahori in 1987 when they were 18, following their graduation from Teyvat Academy. Two years later, when Takehide was 20, Kahori gave birth to their eldest son, Takeshi, in February 1989.

Death of Kamisato Aisa and the Fall of the Yukimura Family

In April 1989, Yukimura Kuri gave birth to an illegitimate daughter called Yukimura Saori. While Kuri refused to tell anyone who Saori's father was, it was publicly known that it was not Kuri's husband, Kujou Shohei, and that, regardless of who the father was, the resulting child, Saori, was a harbinger of misfortune - as her birth almost immediately plunged the entire Yukimura family into ruin and scandal.   Takehide was initially conflicted on how to feel about the situation, as Kuri had always been his best friend, yet he didn't want to send the Kamisato family into ruin as well - especially when they were already affiliated with the Yukimura family because of Kuri's mother, who was a member of the Kamisato family.   While he didn't publicly come to Kuri's aid, despite wanting to, Takehide forbade the Kamisato family from talking about the scandal and from saying anything bad about Kuri - and, for the first month following the revelation, would secretly meet up with Kuri to check on her.   A few days after the birth of Yukimura Saori and the ruining of Yukimura Kuri and the Yukimura family's reputation, the family was unexpectedly attacked by monstrous creatures. These monster attacks went on for a month and, despite the Yukimura family's prowess in combat, by the end of the month, all of them had perished apart from Yukimura Kuri and Yukimura Saori. Among the casualties were Kuri's husband, Kujou Shohei, and her mother, Kamisato Aisa - who was among the last to die.   As a result of these deaths, both the Kujou and Kamisato families immediately shunned Yukimura Kuri and her daughter and refused to talk about any connection to the Yukimura family. Despite his initial, albeit secret, support of Kuri and despite being her best friend, Takehide was among the first to cut ties with Kuri.   Despite this, he still privately grieved Kuri for an entire month after learning of her death in 2013.

Takeshi's Death

Alongside his wife, he outlived his son, who died in April 2027. He offered to take over the family until his grandson, Kamisato Ayato, finished his studies but his offer was refused.

Yukiko's Miscarriages

Takehide, like his wife, is among the members of the Kamisato family who insist that Ayato take a mistress by May 2038, in order to have an heir for the Kamisato family as Yukiko had three miscarriages by that point. This was also because Yukiko was disliked by the Kamisato family even prior to her miscarriages due to the fact that Yukiko was of Yukimura blood, particularly the daughter of Yukimura Saori - who the Kamisato family had expressed a deep hatred towards for nearly fifty years.   While he disliked Yukiko for being Saori's daughter, Takehide was also the first to comment about how much like Kuri Yukiko looked - which somewhat weakened his dislike of Yukiko. As such, he only really expressed a negative view towards Ayato's marriage to Yukiko when Yukiko experienced the three miscarriages.
