Kahori Sakai
Sakai Kahori is a Japanese-born alumnus of Teyvat Academy. She was the wife of one of the heads of the wealthy and noble Kamisato family, Kamisato Takehide, and the daughter of the noble Sakai family herself. She was the mother of Kamisato Takeshi and is the grandmother of Kamisato Ayato and Kamisato Ayaka. She is also the great-grandmother of Kamisato Fynn.

Education at Teyvat Academy
While at Teyvat Academy, Kahori was in the Inazuma Dorm. While she was studying there, she met Kamisato Takehide, who she would later marry. She had prior knowledge of Takehide, being that they were both from noble Japanese families. But they had not met until they both attended Teyvat Academy. She was in the same class as Kaedehara Hisamichi, Nishimoto Aemi, Kujou Shohei, and Yukimura Kuri. She personally expressed dislike towards Kuri even during their school years, as Kuri very rarely acted like the daughter of a noble family and Kahori harboured deep jealousy over how beautiful Kuri was, and how close Kuri was to Takehide. However, her animosity towards Yukimura Kuri was always buried as Takehide thought very highly of her. She also didn't get along very well with Hisamichi, Aemi or Shohei either, as they were all good friends of Kuri's as well - which only furthered Kahori's jealousy as Kuri always seemed much more popular than her.Marriage
After graduating from Teyvat Academy in 1987, she married Takehide and, when she was 20, she gave birth to her eldest son, Takeshi, in February 1989.Fall of the Yukimura Family
In April 1989, it was revealed to the public that Yukimura Kuri had conceived and given birth to a child outside of her marriage to Kujou Shohei, although the father was unknown. The revelation sent the Yukimura family spiralling into ruin and scandal. Takehide, despite not publicly coming to Kuri's aid, forbade the Kamisato family from saying anything ill about her or the Yukimura family, expressing deep hatred for how the Japanese noble society were treating Kuri and her family. Kahori, however, took the news with a savage pleasure. While she obeyed Takehide's rule in public, she would privately meet up with members of the other families to talk about Kuri, telling anyone she could about how Kuri acted when they were students. Following the death of Kamisato Aisa and Takehide officially cutting ties with Kuri, she was even more pleased and became less secretive about her badmouthing of Kuri. When Kuri died in 2013, her happiness reached a new height as Kuri was finally gone. However, it was also laced with bitter jealousy as Takehide shut himself away for a month following to grieve her death privately.Takeshi's Death
She outlived her son, who died in April 2027 when he was 38. She expressed concern about the family title, lands and wealth being passed onto her grandson when he was only just eighteen and had yet to even finish his own education. Kahori is among the members of Ayato's family who insist that he take a mistress to provide an heir for the Kamisato family after Yukiko's third miscarriage in May 2038 - she was also one of the quickest to suggest it due to her deep dislike of Yukiko because of her Yukimura heritage. While almost all of the Kamisato family hated Yukiko for her heritage, Kahori especially despised her as Yukiko was the granddaughter of Yukimura Kuri and, despite all Yukimura members sharing the same white hair, pale skin and silver eyes, looked exceptionally like Kuri.
