Dr. Cazari is famous for finding the first Levitation Crystal and Dolor Root. When she was leading an exposition in the Underdark, she stumbled upon a large cave where thousands of glowing blue crystals protruded from the ceiling. She was intrigued by the crystals and halted the expedition to study them. She spent several days studying the crystals and theorizing why they grew from the ceiling, until one fell to the ground. She examined the crystal and found when the word float was spoken in any language the crystal would levitate a few feet of the ground. Her studies were cut short when a group of duregar rushed the camp and the party had to flee. Dr. Cazari returned a year later to study the crystals more and found that they varied in size and could carry weight. On that same trip one of her colleagues ate a mushroom that caused him to go crazy for a while.While he was raving from the mushroom he ate a root of another mushroom. As soon as he swallowed the root he passed out cold. Dr. Cazari brought back samples of both mushrooms and found out the second one knocked the victim unconscious for 3 hours. This root was later named Dolor Root and it is now used to knock a person out who has had a serious injury. The levitation crystals are used in all kinds of ways from transportation to weapons. Dr. Cazari is also credited with figuring out how to activate and grow levitation crystals outside of the Underdark.

Born a Language Bearer to a poor family in a small town in the north of Vefcak Helena Cazari was immediacy given to the Mages of the High Tower so as to achieve a better life. Helena spent most of her childhood learning form the most astute minds in Vefcak. She had a leg up on most of her classmates since she could innately speak Hervisium as a language bearer and used this ability to rise to the top of her class. When Helena graduated she immediately started to research the Underdark and the flora and fauna that grew there. It was on a trip into the Underdark that Helena first discovered levitation crystals.
