Nimearan

Natively known as: չէհուկու cɦehuku /ˈʧʰehuku/

Nimearan is a Halfling and Human language, primarily spoken by the Nimearan People. It is also the primary religious and holy language of Ashvetist practitioners south of the Volgier Mountains, and commonly spoken by the clergy of even the Brücter branch of the faith.   All Ashevite scripture is written in Nimearan, which has maintained relative consistency in syntax, phonology, and vocabulary, largely due to the proliferation of Ashevite religious texts across much of Southwest Galisea and Northwest Galisea. Nimearan is remarkable for being one of the few Galisean languages in this part of the continent to predate the The Year of the Bright Star.

Geographical Distribution

Native speakers, consisting almost entirely of the eponymous Nimearans, are concentrated in the lands in and immediately nearby the The Kingdom of Nimeara. Clergy as far north as Tiefen are fluent in it, and any Ashevite knows at least one or two manthras in the original Nimearan by heart.
