Jötunn-born (Yo-tune-Born)

Towering above the rest of the races in Glecia, Jötunn-born are the descendants of giants and it shows. They are known for great strength, living life to the fullest, and incredible skill in their chosen fields. None know how Jotun-born come to be, but all know to respect and fear the descendants of giants. What is know is that Jotun blood and gifts can pass through generations without manifesting.
It is not always clear when a Jötunn-born is born. With no unifying features and the sheer amount of diversity in lineage it is impossible to tell who is a Jotun-born until their heritage awaken. When their heritage awaken, however, is unique to each Jotun-born. Some may have their heritage awaken at a very young age, sometimes as soon as birth, while others may not have their heritage awaken until a stressful, sometimes drastic, situation occurs later in life. There are some signs to look out for, however, that can clue you in on whether or not someone is Jotun-born. Signs include growing quickly during childhood, strong muscle development during adolescent life, and keen interests and skills in crafts in early stages of life.
Being a Jötunn-born is not easy. They are typically shunned by families, often leaving to early abandonment that leaves the Jotun-born emotionally scarred for something they cannot control. And while a Jotun-born can become respected within communities as great artisans, few get that honor. Most are treated with fear or straight up contempt. And so, Jotun-born will typically live elusive and isolate lives, choosing to sequester themselves away from societies that would shun their heritage.
Not all take this power, however. Some chose to embrace the contempt and become great warriors who return to fight and slaughter those that originally shunned them.
