Willow-Leaf Shrine

The Willow-Leaf Shrine is dedicated to Foxglove, Goddess of Flowers, the foremost goddess of the Nature Pantheon. It is only visted by the most devoted followers of Foxglove, not due to any extreme danger on the trek, but due to the difficult hike it takes to get there.

Purpose / Function

A shrine dedicated to Foxglove, Goddess of Flowers considered the prime place to visit if you wish to commune with the goddess or seek her true blessings and peace. It serves as a haven for her most devoted and is said to be a garden she tends to herself.

Alterations

Over the years the small shrine has been altered only to expand the altar and to repair damage time has done to the stone work. In addition, a well was put on the premises to aid in the watering of the willow-leaf foxglove flowers that grow in droves there.

Architecture

Large stone arches carved with natural motifs and with images of foxgloves around the bases make up most of the architecture. Mostly open air with a few branches and fountains that have been repaired over the years, though they are full of flowers rather than water. The altar itself is carved stone that looks like a bent willow surrounded by various foxglove breeds.

History

Not much is known about the history of the shrine though it is believed that it might have always been there. It is considered Foxglove, Goddess of Flowers's a garden and the birthplace of her worship.

Tourism

Only visited by the most devoted due to the harsh hike that is needed to get there, though those who do spend days at a time and often spend their time cleaning, repairing, and caring for the gardens.
