Foxglove, Goddess of Flowers
Goddess Foxglove , Lady of Flowers
Foxglove is the goddess of flowers, herbs, and greenery in Glenerene. She is known to be a matron deity of gardeners. She takes her name from the foxglove flower, which is believed to be the first flower to ever bloom in Glenerenian cosmology. Foxglove is one of the more active deities in the world, commonly being found in the Mortal Realm where ever there are gardens.
Foxglove is the de facto leader of the Nature Pantheon, although she asserts little authority over the other deities, according to rumor.
Divine Domains
Her footsteps spring to life greenery of all kinds, and her touch is enough to make a wilted blossom bloom with fervor once more.Foxglove is the deity of flowers and herbs within Glenerene. Her followers know her as one who can make the planet spring into bloom on a whim. But, her followers warn of her wrath as well. The harvest she gives, she can easily take away from those who abuse the natural world.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
The foxglove flower is sacred to Foxglove, as is the willow tree.
Bees are a sacred animal to Foxglove, as their pollination is what allows many plants to grow and spread and thrive.
Tenets of Faith
Foxglove's Holy Tenets are those of nature itself. She demands that the laws of nature be obeyed, and as such, Necromancers are not welcome in her temples.
Those who respect nature are gifted with plentiful harvests, but those who abuse the land can see their harvests fail in an instant.
Foxglove demands of her followers a system of give and take from nature. To harvest a plant, you must sow its seed or tend to it accordingly. To fell a tree, you must plant one.
Foxglove's followers tend to insist on a burial without a coffin once they die, as they wish to nourish the land as it has nourished them. This is not a rule dictated by the goddess, however.
First, a potential Sage must trek to the Willow-Leaf Shrine
Second, the potential Sage must be tested by a Great Sage on their knowledge of the Natural Laws
