There, Carmen Nemes — the "Oryovan sailor" — plunged into the dark waters and transformed into a gigantic sea monster, which was revealed to be a horribly mutated Brine Dragon. The Dragon almost killed the Scofflaws, before Lynxford invoked his Rune and the name of Banner Bearer, compelling the creature to flee.
