Structure and Ranks

The Aukeryn people believe in bigger is better, and their navy follows that line of thoughts a great deal, while they don't have the largest navy by any stretch of thought, they do have the largest ships, some to a point that many people are amazed they either float. Many could be described as small floating wooden towns, and they keep trying to push this design to large and greater building projects. So newer ships tend to be larger than the previously built ones.
The Aukeryn Navy like nearly all organisations within the Dynasty with any real power is lead by a Aukeryn family member in this case by a gentlemen called Alasdair Aukeryn, the uncle of the Head of the Family, he was the younger brother of the previous state leader, so made a decision to join the navy and learn a trade as he would always be in the shadow of his elder brother and then his sons. As a naval officer and a member of the Aukeryn family he quickly advanced in rank and duties, lucky he wasn't a bad officer and showed promise from the start. The Admiral of the Fleet was his Great Uncle, saw him as an ideal choice to take over that role when he either retired or passed on. So took a keen interest in his grand nephew progress and leadership skills, making sure he got placements with good captains, who he could learn from and improve any weakness he had.

Ships and Armanents

Two dozen top rate ships, some may either need classifying as a level above what is commonly termed top rate nowadays. Each heavily armed with Ballista, Catapults, and all have a group of mages for magical firepower as well.
