Mikazu

Mikazu is a land of air and fire, Rifts, and gates to the planes across the continent. From the Master Gate of Air in Sunsu , the capital of Crane Imperium, hanging 300 feet above the southern coast, to the rifts in and around the Cindercliff standing high against the Savanna to the west, with rivers of lava and flame flowing down the sides into the Savaana below.
While there are many places with permanent connections to the planes across the continent just like the rest of the world. There are many beautiful areas that are only affected by the planes slightly. The forests in the heartlands of Mikazu in the wildlands between the Expanse and Imperium, to the Mountains, run down the spine of the land from north to south cutting the continent between east and west.

Regions

There are 3 main regions of Mikazu, the two kingdoms of Crane Imperium in the South and the Urugoth Expanse to the North, the third is the Wildlands in the heartland of the continent, which is control by no kingdom, but there are a number of large villages and either the odd small town within the wilderness.

Crane Imperium

The empire of the Aarakocra to the south of the continent, a land of rough plains and floating islands ripped from the southern coast due to the effects of the master gate in Sunsu. The Imperium doesn't have access to metals within the kingdom and that is one of the main reasons they look longingly at the wildlands to the north, but they struggle to hold the lands they already have, and pushing north will potentially leave cracks and risk the failure of the kingdom.

Urugoth Expanse

The Expanse isn't exactly a kingdom but more a federation of clans and family units ranging across the savannas in the north of Mikazu, the clan chiefs and family headsmen by some unknown method to the rest of world choose a Chief of Clan Chiefs and have a council of chiefs which make any decisions about who to go to war with and decide the laws of the clans. Anyone trying to a treaty with the Expanse needs to prove the strength of body and mind, as they have to show worthiness to be considered an equal of the Clans.

Wildlands of Mikazu

The Wildlands isn't a kingdom, there are numerous settlements between the Expanse to the North and the Imperium to the south, which have no allegiance to either, and will trade with both, these independent peoples know that if either kingdom decides to march and take over their towns and villages there pretty much nothing they can do, so they try to keep both sides wary of the other, and walk the tightrope of a potentially deadly game of freedom from either by playing both sides.

Geography

The geography of Mikazu is very diverse lands of mountains, forests, and plains, which in many areas have been warped and changed by the planes. From the areas around the two major crossings to Air and Fire Planes, to the smaller tears in reality with crossing points to all the planes happening across the lands.
