The Elemental Titans
Godai was created by a pantheon of gods lost to history by both time and distance, and no one knows who or what they were, All the people of Godai know are the Elemental Titans of the World and the strange and wild Kings and Queens of the Fae. But there was once gods, and maybe they will come again, but for now the world is in the control of the Elemental Titans and the lesser beings of their ilk.
In the ancient times before civilisation before the people of Godai existed there was the start of a war between the Primordial Titans and the Gods themselves, At this time the gods were not as strong as they could have become because without worshippers the gods only have limited ability and powers, and they had drained them in the creation of this new world and the new beginnings it meant. While the gods brought their peoples to the world or create new ones on and within the lands of Godai, the elemental powers struck.
The gods created Godai using ancient powers to tap into the elemental planes to use the whirling vortexes of power within them to help strengthen their own abilities to create Godai. The gods thought nothing of this and didn't consider that the elemental planes had their own inhabitants that might see the taking of power from the planes as theft against them and their people.
The elemental planes struck independently against these beings they saw as thieves and vagabonds, and due to the unorganised nature of these attacks, the gods easily defend themselves and their new creations against them, so species and civilization started to flourish across the lands of Godai. The gods set watch on the paths crossing between the planes and kept great guardians to defend against the titans that raided in the physical world.
Over the centuries that followed the great titans Achazar, Grumbar, Akadi, Istishia formed their own alliance seeing the gods could not be defeat without the help of each other, they also form their own legions of followers from the great elemental dragons, down to the smallest Mephit they created a war host of immense power and strength, which at a set time and place charged though the crossroads from their own planes into that of Godai and the war between Gods and Titans started a new, and this time inch by inch, mile by mile the Titans pushed the defenders of the Gods back crushing all in front of them they didn't bow down and respect their ancient power. During this time the people of Godai were affected by the planes for the first time, and children were born with the marks of the elements and gifted some small part of planes within them.
The following years, the Gods lost more and more ground and were deserted by their worshippers, some converted to the elemental sides others like the elves made deals with otherworldly beings and escape the destruction that inched closer and closer to their cities in the heart of what was left of the Divine House powers. Until the last century, no one knew where they went or what became of them. In the end, the Primordial Titans destroyed the last bastions of the gods and gave them a choice to leave this world or face the destruction of everything they were and could become. The gods left defeated but swore vengeance against those that brought them down.
Since that time Godai as been a world worshipping the Great Titans and their generals that led the way in defeating the thieves that claimed to be above all others.
