Anatomy

Similar to humans, but lankier, more fragile-looking features, and pointy ears

Genetics and Reproduction

Elves reproduce sexually. They give live birth, with a pregnancy period of a year.

Growth Rate & Stages

Elves seem to age only a little slower than humans, looking like adults at age 50. However, they are considered adults at age 100, and live to be around 700 years old. They finish a form of puberty at age 80.

Ecology and Habitats

Elves live best in Forests, and areas with many trees. High elves tend to live in urban areas, Wood Elves and Eladrin tend to live in actual Forests, and Sea elves live underwater, usually around kelp forests. Drow, Shadar-kai, Avariel, and Wild Elves all live better in different places, however. Drow live best in underground, Shadar-Kai live best in the Shadowfell, where all is dreary and depressing, Avariel elves are Winged elves, and live best on cloud cities, and Wild Elves live in Jungles.

Facial characteristics

Elves have sharp features. They can grow a beard, but it can grow no more than 1/8th of an inch away from the face. Drow, Star Elves, and Wild Elves have different eye colors from the other elves, who all have eye colors like Humans. Drow eyes tend to be fully Red, or White. Star Elves always have Violet Eye colors. Wild Elves usually only have Green and Brown Eyes.

Elves tend to have about the same intelligence of humans, with high elves being slightly smarter.

Elves can see in darkness, up to 60 feet. Drow can see up to 120 feet, but cannot see well in sunlight. Elves also can see better than most other creatures.

Typically, a Female elf will ask a Male for Courtship, and will go through a dating process similar to Humans. After usually a year, both sides decide whether they love each other.

Common Etiquette Rules

Most Elves share the same common etiquette. They greet by bowing up to 30 degrees, and would say "Sal Aelo Va," translated to "I meet you." Goodbyes are done by bowing 30 degrees again and saying "Sal kerradun lor aelo va Fae Adoe," Which translates to "I wish to meet you again."

Common Dress Code

Elves usually wear a Shirt, Shoes, and Pants. Wild Elves tend to wear a mask.

History

Elves were made in 1457cr, when Correlleon had cut a piece of his skin off and planted it in the ground of the Feywild, creating the First few Elves. The First Elves where Spring Eladrin. They originally did not have a sex, and where able to mate with anyone else without any problems. Life was good for them, until 454cr, when Lolth had convinced a few Eladrin to turn to her, and she will gift them with freedom from, what she described Correlleon as, the evil dictator that hated his creation for wanting freedom. Her cult would quietly fester among the others, until 0wr, when these eladrin would try to assassinate Correlleon. They would fail, when the would-be assassin was taken down by Correlleon's Honor Guard. Disheartened by what his creation would try to do to him, he would brand and banish the Eladrin, Now referred to as Drow, from his Realm, shoving them into the Underdark of the at-the-time wasteland of the Material Plane. He would grow distant from the Eladrin, and outside of his Honor guard, he would change many of the Eladrin into Wood Elves, and would leave them on the Material Plane. Some Wood-Elves would see the Humans, with their want to build, create and learn, and to make magic, and would mimic them, and in 800wr, The First High elves would be born. They would be more magically gifted, since the Elves would begin working on their magic. Wood Elves would stay in the forests and would begin learning druidic magic. Before the Material Plane, Correlleon would make a Deal with the God of Oceans Jot Koog. He saw the Elves as beautiful creations of Correlleon, and wanted Elves of his own. So, Correlleon would Give him a piece of his skin, and in return, Jot Koog must create an Ocean in the Feywild. He would make the Lo'urop Ocean, a large Body of water the size of Godsen in the Middle of the Feywild, and would return to the Elemental plane of Water, where he would drop the skin into the Endless Ocean, and would rip it apart, until Correlleons blood would begin morphing and forming the Sea Elves. These Sea elves would fight against the Sahuagin, following them all the way to the Material Plane. In 1100cr, Correlleon would have an Affair with the Raven Queen. While he had done so due to her beauty, she had done so, knowing that she would gain elves as her servants. While having intercourse with him, she would take a piece of his ear, bring it to the Shadowfell, plant the piece, and would grow the Shadar-Kai. She used them as types of spies, who would watch the Feywild through them, to find more information about it all, and to be able to continue building her Library of knowledge on the Feywild. She would bring them to the Material Plane in 150wr, using them to spy on the people of the Material plane. In 889cr, Correlleon would find the body of a Roc. While looking upon its body, he would gain an Idea, using it's feathers and his tears to create the Avariel Elves. These elves did not like Correlleon, due to his love for things beautiful, and would move attempt to go to the Elemental Plane of Air. However, the portal they walked through did not lead to the elemental plane of air, instead teleporting them them into the Astral Sea , in the middle of a Dragon den. Many of the Avariel elves would fight and die to attempt to escape, only being successful because Metallic Dragons would begin invading the den, finally getting to the plane of Air after this event. Because of this, many Avariel elves didn't want to move to the Material Plane when it became what it was. Grugach are an evolution from the Wood Elves, who grew up in Jungles. Because of the hostile and hot conditions of the Jungles, they tended to be untrusting. Lythari where elves that were found on the Island of Ichenda, and where what happens when a Wood Elf and a Lycanthrope mate. Star Elves where High Elves who were born in the Astral Sea.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Elves are very prideful, and don't tend to start off friendly with other races. Most races start cautious around elves, dwarves being unfriendly with them, monstrous races being hostile, and orcs specifically being Genocidal to all Elves. Drow hate and are hated by most races, even other Elves, being considered a Monstrous race. Shadar-Kai are feared, and many believe they are a type of undead. Grugach are disliked by most, due to their reclusive nature and their disdain for many other races.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

Elves can range in a multitude of colors. High Elves, called Aeldari in the elven tongue, are usually have similar skin colors to humans. Wood Elves, or Quessir, tended to have light brown skin coloration, like a Nougat color. Dark Elves, or Drow, would have either a Dark Blue to Black skin coloration. Winged Elves, or Avariel Elves would have a light skin coloration, ranging from white to a light pink. Season Elves, or Eladrin, can be any color that is related to the seasons (Summer= Gold/Yellow, Spring=Green/Pink, Fall=Orange/Yellow, Winter=White/Blue). Wild Elves, Or Grugach, tended to have A dark Brown skin coloration. Sea Elves, or Fisheyl, tended to be a color ranging from a light blue to a dark blue. Lythari, or Shift Elves, would have a coloration of a wolf, typically ranging from a gray fur to a silver fur. Star Elves, or Storeyl, Look a lot like High Elf. Shadar-Kai, or Raven Elves, are usually a pale white color.
