Jenta Hua'zur (jen-tah huá-zôr)
Is there a point to your incessant babbling? Get to it or find yourself feeding the marine life at the bottom of the harbor. At least then you'd prove more useful.
Key Points
- Member of Vath'azen's ruling council
- Head of Vath'azen Eastern intelligence
- Ruthless spymaster and founder of Shaf Yadursmaj information network
Background
Born and raised in the Eastern-most province of Vath'azen, Jenta grew up on the Southern border of the Elven Kingdoms (who were still seething with anger over the loss of their power). On an otherwise innocent day gathering berries for her village, a small band of Elven rogues emerged from the forest and seized her, selling her into slavery. For almost ten years she toiled in foreign lands, mistreated and abused, handed off from one master to the next. For ten years she suffered in silence, the embers of hatred smouldering in her heart of hearts as she learned their ways, their desires, and their deepest secrets. For ten years she forged a network of like-minded allies, carefully orchestrating the movement of goods, people, and information through dangerous territories. When the nobility discovered the depth of her treachery, harkening back to Amari Wa'la's betrayal, she fled back to her people where she was hailed a heroine. The grandiose yet terrifying name she made for herself opened the doors to Ga'jam Ch'luun's small council, where she was offered a seat as a strategist and key advisor.Mental characteristics
Mental Trauma
Her abduction at a young age left her feeling uneasy and on edge any time she sits or stands in one place for too long. As a result it's not unusual for Jenta to pace while she speaks, ever vigilant of the slightest movements on the fringes of her periphery. Others often interpret this is as distraction or irritation, which she finds more than acceptable to foster.
Due to the mistreatment she suffered during her time in captivity, Jenta dislikes being touched. She is distrustful of those who espouse the virtues of physical strength, experience teaching her it is only a matter of time before they use that strength to control others.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Never Forget
Jenta sees herself as a defender of the memory of her people, the battles that have been fought, and the blood that was spilled long ago. She strives to ensure that people will not forget the travesties inflicted upon the Kynekin peoples, many of whom still live enslaved in Elven lands. She rails against the notion that there will ever truly be peace with the Elves.Likes & Dislikes
Dislikes
Jenta strongly dislikes meetings. The more people involved, the less she feels in control, the harder it is to watch her own back, and the more she dislikes it. She dislikes fire, stemming from cruel mistreatment in captivity. Finally, she dislikes recognition and being the center of attention. Jenta would much rather be a silent shadow, where it is far easier for her to ply her chosen trade.Likes
Clothes! The affluence afforded her by being a member of the small council has become something of a guilty pleasure, something which she has never had. Her knowledge in the world of Gokrenxian fashion is something to behold. Jenta's residence in Stoverj has a long window overlooking the harbor where she can often be seen watching as she paces. Many assume she looks out for the latest intelligence updates from distant shores. While that may be true to some extent, in fact it is much more due to Jenta's fascination with tall wooden ships. She finds the idea of the freedom of the sea romantic.Hygiene
Jenta detests filth and holds personal cleanliness in high regard.
