Council of Knowledge
The Council of Knowledge was the ruling body of the library-fortress of Minas Amer. Situated in the pyramid known as the Great Library, the Council consisted of twelve Consulars who oversaw and governed Minas Amer as a whole. Although the Council supported Kyonin and swore allegiance to its leader, Queen Telandia Edasseril, the Council possessed the autonomy to govern the affairs of Minas Amer without interference from the political establishment.

Structure
The Council of Knowledge was the governing body of Minas Amer. Its composition consisted of twelve Consulars who were tasked with the responsibility of guiding Minas Amer, largely by convening as a council to discuss matters of importance. Headquartered in the Great Library, the Council's chamber was located at the top of the central pyramid. Members could leave the Council at their discretion.
The Grand Consular was the overseer of the Council. During council meetings, the Grand Consular would keep conversations on task, guiding rather than dictating. Theirs was often the voice of reason and experience, two aspects strongly considered by other Consulars when nominating one of their own to the position.
To join the Council of Knowledge, the acolyte in question must be voted in by the Consulars. The position was temporary until the apprentice Consular had trained under the Grand Consular and proven themselves capable. Given the nature of the Consular's duties, being viewed as capable by the Grand Consular often involved lengthy quests to recover rare texts to add to the Great Library.
