Otari Lumber
The largest of the three lumber companies within Otari. It maintains it's reputation as the largest and most influential of the three firms by virtue of it's control of the massive mill, known as The Giant's Wheel as well as the loading flume.
The company has been owned by the Menhemes Family since it's founding in 4312AR but over recent years, Whistledown Cutters has surpassed Otari Lumber as the most profitable firm despite them being charged for use of the mill as well as current owner, Oseph's best efforts.
The current foreman of the mill is Klorte Hengus though recently he has had to up protection of the The Loading Flume as it has been 'curiously damaged' on a couple of occasions.

History
Founded in 4312AR by Maklanni Menhemes, Otari Lumber was the main reason for the growth of Otari as it was resettled after the overthrow of the Stonescale Kobolds in 4310AR. @Maklanni conceived a plan to revitalize Otari as a lumber town, designing a wooden flume, loading ramp and mill to facilitate movement of lumber from the steep slopes and cliffs above Otari to the ocean harbour.
This made an enemy of the Kortos Consortium, who up till this point had maintaned a stranglehold on the island's lumber industry, it did attract workers and other businesses to the town and facilitate the town's growth.
In 4401AR and 4427AR, two other small lumber companies, Whistledown Cutters and Chertel Lumber , split from the Kortos Consortium, re-located to Otari and set up shop, paying for the use of Maklanni's invention.
The company thrived over the next three centuries, as did the town, though recent, astute financial management by the Inkleholtz Family has seen Whistledown Cutters surpass Otari Lumber as the most profitable business in Otari.
Many see this due to the 'straight as a die' nature of Oseph Menhemes, ensuring his mayoral duties are carried out to the best of his abilities, whilst managing the lumber business, without bias.
