Cheliax
Cheliax Pre-Lost Omens
After The Oathbearers slayed Asmodeus and Lamashtu. Many followers of Asmodeus in Cheliax perished. This left only a small portion of the nobles and population remainder alive as Asmodeus was one of the primary religions. Many artifacts were left unattended in the capital causing them to eventually become unstable and rip open holes to Hell and the Abyss. As devils and demons poured over inner cheliax, Andoran, Five Kings Mountains, Last Wall, and the newly established Ravounel (formed from northern Cheliax after a rebellion) worked together in building a magical barrier to contain inner cheliax.
In the Ruins of Cheliax campaign timeline, the region is now split into multiple sections.
Abyssal Hell - majority of the quartined zone, center of cheliax. It is over ran with undead, devils, and demons.
Whisper Woods - Remains untouched as before the outbreak. Whatever lurks there keeps the invaded devils and demons out.
Old Cheliax - The remants of the Cheliaxian nobles have settled here with no where else to go.
The Mage Towers - Two overlooking mage towers mysteriously erected overnight. Approaching has been impossible so far.
Demon Wastes - a desert made from the from the constant well spring surges caused by the abnormaly level of wild magic in the area. This area is controlled by Krita which was founded by a mysterious Care Taker. A Nabasu demon named Oggamuth speaks for this Care Taker.
Ravounel - country formed by the succesful rebellion of the Silver Ravens in Kintargo. They are now a major port of researchers, artifact seekers, and Knights of Last Wall
Nidal - once cheliax's ally, they have mostly abandoned their neighbor to the south and have strengthened their border
Five Kings Mountains - the dwarven alliance has stretched it's territory through former Druma and Isger. They now maintain a portion of the eastern border.
Andoran - long rivals of cheliax, Andoran is one of the main overseers over the situation in cheliax and also controls a portion of the eastern border
