The Empyreal Order

Splinter group of the Order of the Nail Hellknights, The Empyreal Order was founded by Merek Gray in 4743 and follows the teachings of Vildeis. Referred to as a cult but has a sinificant following within Korvosa.
Their current leader Aelald, has taken over after Merek perished to Zorginth who led a cult, The Unknown Creed, and rose to power quickly. A gruesome battle in an attempt to stop them from taking over resulted in The Empyreal Order losing a majority of it's combat ready members.

Remanents of the Empyreal Order

The Order is said to be present in some form but it is uncommon knowledge amongst the non-Unknown Creed populace.
The Empyreal Order members are currently setting up for a resistance in Citadel Vraid. Attempts to gather more followers from the non-Unknown Creed populace have been failing. This is mainly due to the mistrust towards smaller reglious sects stemming from The Unknown Creed's takeover.

Wigmenr: Male Human, Wigmenr has a narrow face, with cropped black hair and dark green eyes. He wears fine raiment and an amulet of luminous crystal.

Belia: Female Human, Belia is rough in appearance, with thin copper hair and narrow green eyes. She wears plain clothing and carries a long knife.

Piersym: Male Human, Piersym has thin black hair and hazel eyes, and a messy beard. Piersym is charming and cheerful.

Gauwis: Male Human, Gauwis has messy copper hair and light gray eyes, and an uneven moustache. He wears modest garments and a silver holy symbol. Gauwis is searching for his lost twin brother, Narder.

Alhbun: Female Human, Alhbun has a round face, with straight silver hair and gray eyes. She wears modest garments and silk gloves. Alhbun has an animal companion, a black rat named Tunband.

Reign Under Aelald

Aelald as the new leader will want to concentrate on rebuilding the city getting the remaining population to follow the Order. He will see this as an opportunity to rebuild Korvosa in the Order's image and ask that Diana stay to lead them down the path.

If asked about the artificial humanoids he will try to deny it. If forced or convinced to tell the secrets he will reveal that long ago a cleric had a vision given to him by Vildeis that a great evil will descend upon the world. A plan was revealed to infiltrate the ranks of Cheliax to fight against it. Their descendants started research into performing rituals to create beings who could remain loyal to Vildeis and hold her power for the centuries to come. These required sacrifices but was for the greater good. To gather the materials and the sacrifices took time and ended up with only a couple attempts every dozen or so years. Finally a success was achieved using parts of a Silver Dragon, it was fine for a few years but some defects were discovered. We ended up disposing of them to try again. The next attempt resulted in Diana. She operated within secret and gained training from loyal members who were trained by Hellknights. She was then taken to Korvosa when the Order was finally formed. When Merek got a vision of the evil now being upon us it was time to send out the fruits of their labor. Aelald will think that making accelerated growth versions of Diana would be best for the order at this point
