First Law Lord

The First Law Lord rules on cases when local courts deadlock on issues of jurisdiction and oversees training of all magistrates in Absalom. They are the only magistrate with the power to judge foreign monarchs visiting the city, should they engage in criminal activity. They also control the Crier’s Table and train the spellcasting detectives known as the varlokkur in the letter of the law before handing them off to the third spell lord.
