Father Eisenfried
Father Eisenfried of the Gold Metal Church is a well-known diplomat, who has negotiated many famous integrations of free peoples and provinces into the Gold Empire. What is less well-known however, is that father Eisenfried is connected to the Office of Secret Services, an office of the Gold Metal Church dedicated to counter-intelligence, spying and securing imperial integrity through underhanded means. Father Eisenfried was instrumental in the conquest of Akshus and integration of Toirecíud, laurels which rewarded him command of OSS in the Far South. In the 20 years since then, father Eisenfried has expanded his influence and OSS operations in the Far South, with interests from East Sceya to the Whiesian coast and the Gith mountains. His most infamous operation was "Shed Skin", the false-flag operation that legitimized the imperial liberation of Oilean: the washing up on the Akshusian shore of a ship of lizardfolk slaves from an Oilean ship.
In public, Eisenfried presents a face of benevolence, mercy and peace as the Gold Emperor's chosen diplomat in the Imperial Far South. He moves between charities, peace talks and trade deals, but in the shadows he is another creature entirely. As the leader of a conspiracy he seeks to expand imperial influence through any means necessary. He is ruthless, cynical and the end always justifies the means.
