Pyraea
Pyraea, the Goddess of Fire and Lady of the Forge, is renowned for her eternal conflict with her enemy and lover, Morrow, and for her role in the creation of the world through this cosmic clash. She is also credited with the creation of the dwarves. Pyraea is celebrated as a grand forge master, adept at shaping the materials of Aard into a myriad of creations. She is said to be perpetually engaged in building and innovating.
Pyraea's temperament mirrors the flickering nature of flames. Like a flame that can offer warmth and comfort or sear to the bone, Pyraea herself is unchanging, but her influence is profoundly affected by her surroundings. Consequently, she is described as highly reactive, demanding caution from her worshippers, as the same flame that provides warmth may also inflict burns.
Worship of Pyraea is central to Dwarven culture, where she is revered as the goddess of craftsmen and their progenitor. Among other humanoid races, the "Church of Eternal Fire" serves as the primary center of worship for Pyraea. Followers of this faith believe in the cleansing power of holy fire, viewing it as a purifying force that eradicates evil and impurities, akin to how flames refine metal. While most adherents engage in symbolic rituals, such as walking over coals, certain sects practice more literal forms of infernal baptism.
Role in myth: Pyraea is the source of many myths, while her continious conflict with Morrow is the most classic and there are many tales of the various results of the numerous clashes she has had with her rival. However stories that tell of her after genesis usually depict her crafting or building something which then causes reaction from mortals or other gods.
