Owner of Fran's fortuitous froths. Potions of dubious origins and craftsmanship, they almost never work as advertised, but always help you in a way you didn't know you need.
Random potions include:
- Potion of the Third Eye (Potion): After drinking this ghostly potion, a third eye opens in the center of your forehead for 1 hour. For this duration, you see invisible creatures and objects as though they were visible, and you can see into the Ethereal Plane.
- Curse Oil (Potion): This sulphurous oil can cover one weapon, and takes 10 minutes to apply. The next creature to touch the weapon must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or become cursed. While cursed, the creature is unwilling to part with the weapon, and has disadvantage on attack rolls using other weapons. The curse lasts until magically removed, or for 1 minute.
- Potion of Flies (Potion): When you drink this buzzing potion, you can breathe forth a swarm of harmless flying insects, which spread out in a 30-foot radius from you. The insects remain for 10 minutes, making the area heavily obscured for creatures other than you. The swarm moves with you, remaining centered on you. A wind of at least 10 miles per hour disperses the swarm and ends the effect.
- Potion of Black Tentacles (Potion):When you drink this inky potion, squirming ebony tentacles explode from your mouth and fill a 5 foot radius around you. When a creature enters this area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 3d6 bludgeoning damage and be restrained by the tentacles until the effect ends at the start of your next turn.
- Potion of Potion Resistance (Potion): When you drink this potion, you gain resistance to other potions. For the next hour, any quantitative effects of other potions you drink are halved.
- Oil of Disarmament Ground (Potion): You can spend an action to hurl this flask of oil up to 30 feet, splashing all creatures within a 10-foot radius. Each creature affected must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or drop any weapons it is holding. Shields, wands, and other objects are not dropped.
- Oil of Rotting Flesh (Potion): This rancid oil can cover a Medium or smaller undead skeleton, and takes 10 minutes to apply. The affected undead is transformed into an undead zombie.
- Potion of Gelatinous Transformation (Potion): When you drink this slimy potion, you are polymorphed into a gelatinous cube for 1 hour (no concentration required).
- Oil of Eyes (Potion): This jelly-like oil can cover a Medium or smaller creature, and takes 10 minutes to apply. The affected creature grows eyes all over its body, letting it see in all directions and granting it advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight. The effect lasts for 1 hour.
