Hisoda is ruled by an Ice Genasi Shugo (regional lord), Lady Rin Saiko, known for her strategic wisdom and her dedication to balancing progress with tradition. She governs alongside a council of Clan Elders who represent different guilds, each responsible for overseeing aspects of town life—from trade and agriculture to defense and education. Laws are strictly upheld, and Lady Rin often consults soothsayers for guidance on important decisions, especially as it pertains to regional threats from the mountains.

History

Hisoda was founded centuries ago by a group of wandering settlers seeking a place of peace. Drawn to the natural hot springs and rare resources in the area, they established the town as a haven against the harsh elements. Around 5 years ago, the town was besieged by a group of mountain raiders known as the Skaar tribe attempting to extend their boundaries beyond the Nevermelting Fields. Since then, Hisoda has been vigilant, keeping its defenses strong.
