Khatharbund - The City of Fortune

The city of Khatharbund is a melting pot of multiple races and religions and sits directly between multiple towns and cities as the center point of trade. Merchants from all over come to Khatharbund to set up shop and trade to return back to their homes. In the city there are multiple temples and inns set up worshipping Pelor, the Raven Queen, Ioun, and Bahamut. The town was originally founded hundreds of years ago by an adventurer named Hely Warre who had a knack for trade and fast talk and set up shop right in the middle of the major intersections of the beginning roadways. She hired mercenaries to patrols the roads to keep her businesses safe and growing and eventually more and more people began to settle around her. As the town began, one of her companions Khathar (a bronze dragonborn from her adventuring party) began building the a temple dedicated to Bahamut while townsfolk began work on templates to Pelor, the Raven Queen, and Ioun. As word spread more and more dragonborn began to flock here and after years of work and dedication the spire of Bahamut was built that is one of the primary focal points of the city even to this day. Shortly after completion, Khathar died of old age having completed his life's final work. Hely at that point decided to name the town after her friend that she had spent most of her life with in his honor and so as they raised the town and themselves up like a causeway or embankment, she decided on the name Khatharbund. To this day, the city remains as vibrant as it originally was and is still governed by the Warre family from Hely's descendants. The current ruler is lady Abel Warre who surrounds herself with various sorcerers of religeons and races that garner limited power within the confines of the city. Sections of the city hold elections every 5 years for these positions; however, the mayor has always been a member of the Warre family. Unfortunately, there are rumors being spread that lady Abel will be the last of her bloodline as she has not bore any child to be the successor to the city and patrons are uncertain of the future of Khatharbund. Outside of that, Khatharbund has an interesting set up in the form of wares as there is a market dedicated and set up for alchemy, smithing, and other various crafts; however, they also have an "open market" where vendors can set up shop after paying for a spot for a specified period of time to run their business and take advantadge of the various traverls through there.   The Temple of Pelor is a small temple with sun symbology and various greenery and flowers located all around the outside and inside. Upon entering there is always some form of incense burning and a large fountain in the middle of the room. Candles adorn the walls and the room has been painted a soft lavender color. The primary keeper of this temple is a Tiefling cleric named Kriemha. She has dark red skin long silver hair and silver eyes. She wears plate armor and wields a whip and a shield. Inside are bookshelves filled to the brim with tomes and books of all kinds. On the back side of the wall are three giant eyes etched, carved, and painted into the stonework. Multiple metallic Dragonborn assists here; however, the primary keeper of the temple is a willowy dwarf named Georguy. He has tangled blonde hair and soft green eyes and his clothing appears worn down and dirty. He is in a wheelchair due to a deformed left leg from a curse that was placed on him long ago and he was led to Ioun in his quest for knowledge to understand the curse as well as what it would take to break it.   The Spire of Bahamut was built back in the early stages of the town by a bronze Dragonborn named Khathar. The temple is massive and built of quartz stone and a giant golden spire that sticks hundreds of feet into the air. The temple is always kept clean and there are many alters for Bahamut as multiple Dragonborn acolytes tend to it. Behind the curtain, there is a massive basement full of cursed objects and a dungeon used to interrogate those wicked ones who would wish to bring harm to the city and its inhabitants. The spire is essentially the guardship of the town and paladins from within take the opportunity to guard the city against evil as they begin their journey into the light. Lili the Dragonborn cleric who had silver scales and a scar on her arm was the primary keeper here; however, after losing her life in the battle against Tiamat a silver Dragonborn named Sila who is a paladin adorned in plate armor and a Warhammer.
