Rainbow Metal

The process of melting down adamantine and refactoring it through an intense heating and cooling process causes a rainbow hue to form across the metal. This process (along with some chemical modifications) gives the armor the capability of retaining the effects of adamantine armor, yet lightens the armor to the point where the benefits of a full plate or armor can be reduced to a simple chain shirt or breastplate.
