The Power Station

The heart and brain of the city of Windbury is the power station. A single, huge converter stands tall within the river that splits the city in two, while cables spiderweb across the sky connecting from buildings and going underground from this centralized power station. From under the river, multiple cables spawn off down into a cave that had been drilled into the earth where a sliver of the fey realm sliced through. Any type of maintenance is handled by a small dive team consisting of a human who goes by the nickname of "Walrus" and two dwarves. The power station is run by an overweight dwarf named Giznudrid. In the beginning, he assisted in building and designing the factory, but over the years the power station has taken up much of his time. He oversees the conversion of the wild magic converters handed to them by Grangerford over to the more magical steam driven engines that are being built, tested, and put in place. Because he's stuck in the main monitoring area, he doesn't have a lot of chances to get out and everyone appreciates him so he's constantly being brought food; what was once an esteemed member of the council has become an overweight, annoyed dwarf who rides a steam powered rascal scooter. He is the only one there that truly understands how the conversion works from wild magic to energy.
