Wraiths Introduction

Wraiths are unreadable creatures that wander the world aimlessly, they are made from random objects and materials. You could find a suit of armour wandering around or a clump of floating sand.

The Creation of Wraiths

Wraiths are created when essence invades an object. This happens when unstrained essence comes in contact with an object. Its fairly rare for a wraith to be made when this happens but with time it becomes more likely. Wraiths tend to pop up where there has been mass genocides like ancient war fronts such as Daizerion Pass. When someone with extreme motivation becomes a wraith they might keep some of their original drive these are known as Dolorspir.

The Power of Wraiths

Wraiths can be incredibly powerful when their essence is from the right place, for example a wraith from a Gorakin source will be exponentially more powerful than a wraith from a source like a fell beak. Why this is, is that the closer to sentience that the source of the wraith essence is, the more powerful the wraith is.

Wraith Rights

Dolospir, wraiths rife with political questions, do they deserve rights? How do you decide which wraiths are Dolorspir?. They don't live very long so if you do give them rights you have to do it quickly or half of their short life will be spent waiting for rights. How do you stop people from fearing the Dolorspir when their integrated into cities and towns?

Wraith History

If you were to look in any half decent Kley history book you will see that wraiths have changed much over time. Wraiths from before the rule of Gorakin where completely discordant and even more unpredictable than modern wraiths. Scholars say this might have been because of the high usage of Essen. Essen can mess with someone’s essence to the point that they are almost unrecognisable. That is also where a lot of fear of wraiths comes from.

Its quite difficult to kill a wraith because to kill a wraith you need to destroy the object its made out of or turn it into a new material. For example sand turning into glass.
