Aimiliona (Ah-mileena)
The Lady of the Land
Aimiliona is a mother goddess to the kingdom of Middlemere. She represents the harvest, hard work and the natural beauty of the land. She is seen as protector of the land, and in turn the people of Middlemere feel a duty to protect her as well. To the people of Middlemere, the kingdom and Aimiliona are one.
Aimiliona is a deity that is only worshipped in Middlemere. As such, folk from outside that kingdom will not be familiar with her.

Aimiliona's holy symbol is a sheaf of wheat, and as such she is shown to be holding one when depicted in statue form. She is always dressed in humble robes, with a bird's nest growing in her hair. She is often depicted with flaxen blonde hair or earthy red hair, her face gently freckled.

Harmony with the land. The cyclical process of sowing and receiving. The concept of using something without exploiting it.
Holidays
The Solstice Feast is a day of celebration in Middlemere. It is used to celebrate the beginning of the summer season, and is considered a time to pray for good harvests for the whole season. The people of Middlemere hold get togethers in the morning, where villagers help one another complete their farmwork. Then, in the evening, a large feast is held for the whole village, so that everyone can celebrate a hard days work. Decorations often include dried sheafs of wheat and woven crowns made from branches, designed to look like a bird's nest, are worn by the village's women.
