Ikamura
The island of Ikamura sits within the Glimmering Isles, to the west of Gran Lorien. It is ruled by a shogun, and several noble houses. The island itself has a temperate climate, and boasts a variety of plant life not usually seen in Gran Lorien. Large meadows of white, yellow, and red flowers. Vast forests of trees with golden leaves. Towering mountains with humble shrines at their peaks and petals flowing in the wind.
The samurai of the noble houses act as guardians of the island, and enforce justice to those who do wrong while protecting and giving hope to the commonfolk. The monks of the Kakusha monasteries build temples to Amata and act as healers and charity workers while disciplining themselves through martial arts.
As an island, the people of Ikamura live on a seafood heavy diet, supplementing it with rice grown in fields across the coast. Fishing ships are seen on the horizons at all times of day. Squid are found in large populations along the Ikamuran coastlines, and as such, squid, grilled in sesame oil and garnished with lemon, is a popular delicacy on the island.
