Maricia

The lush oasis town of Maricia is located in the Crystal Desert of Castaregna. The town was founded by Gem Dragonborn scholars, seeking to learn more about the mysterious crystalline structures that channeled arcane energy through the glimmering sands.
Since then, a guild of sorcerers, scholars, sages, and archeomancers have formed the Crystal Archives within Maricia. The Archives work to document the strange formations of crystals throughout Castaregna and experiment with their arcane effects.
The town is named for Maricielle the Stardiver, a Crystal Greatwyrm said to be the progenitor of all Gem Dragons on the Star of Lorien.
