Qissana Oasis

Qissana Oasis sits in the heart of the Im'hara Desert, the only refuge from the cruel heat and sand. The small settlement is nestled into the rocks and surrounded by lush trees. At the centre of the oasis is a pool of crystal clear water, that flows down to Ain Sidram, the sunken temple on the outskirts of Qissana. The entire village sits in the shadow of a large tree that has been growing there for centuries.
Qissana Oasis acts as a resting point for those who travel through the Im'hara Desert, and to accommodate them, has a large inn and tavern located within. Merchants will set up temporary stalls within the oasis to hawk their wares to other travels and the denizens of Qissana before they head on their way. The Golden Scales Trading Company has an outpost at the oasis as well, where they sell supplies for travellers to stock up on.
As the oasis is one of the few places vegetation can be found in the Im'hara Desert, Qissana also hosts many melon farmers, who grow their crops along the pool of water at the heart of the Oasis.

Demographics

The population of Qissana Oasis are mainly Nyan'hari, but other demographics, such as Humans, Aarakocra, and Loxodon, are not uncommon. As the village doubles as a trading post, the population of the town fluctuates with how many travellers are currently staying in the inn.
