The Culinary Guild
The Culinary Guild, placed in the center square of Storm’s Reach, has humble origins. It was originally merely a tavern and inn, started by a Nyan'hari chef, Bellissimo Beauregard, who travelled to the Stargazer Valley with its earliest settlers in search of inspiration for new dishes. Over time, its reputation grew due to an abundance of rare resources found in the valley. Eccentric chefs from across the realm began to make their way to the Stargazer Valley, eventually forming the Culinary Guild. Spurred on by Bellissimo's autobiography and recipe book, Cooking Under the Stars, the Guild members search for sparks of inspiration for the next great dish.
Always loud and bustling, the Culinary Guild operates as a restaurant and tavern throughout the day, though its origins as an inn are not forgotten and one can still pay for a room and bed. Fledgling chefs are trained in the kitchens of the Culinary Guild and ingredients are bought and sold on the tavern floor. Passions run high in the Culinary Guild, and guests at the restaurant can often witness fights amongst the chefs or joyous songs being sung as they cook.
Some chefs of the Culinary Guild choose to stay at the guild and work at its restaurant. Some choose to make their way into the Steppe, hunting for all manner of rare ingredients within Stargazer Valley. Some leave the valley entirely, making their way to the furthest reaches of the realm in search of their own spark of inspiration.
