The Broken Horn
Geography
The Broken Horn is defined as everything south from the Southern Tip of The Iron Mountains including the Southern isthmus of mainland Granmor, the three large islands of Egala, Nobiliak, and Priyatin, and Hala, which is dominated by the Howling Glacier.
- Southern Coast of Granmor - Long the location of Southmark, one of the first great Human kingdoms on Granmor, and of its neighbors Hemiasta and Lorgar. The latter two were absorbed permanently into the Empire, the former is now New Southmark after a long occupational period of de facto Verdonese rule.
- Egala - The largest of the Broken Horn islands, this island has a characteristic Temperate Rainforest due to moist air being forced through the straits around it. Much of the southern part of the island was ecologically devastated by the Elves but nature has been reclaiming the island since they left. The Northern Sergal are most populous here.
- Nobiliak and Priyatin - The two other islands of the Broken Horn, these islands have suffered near total ecological devastation by the Elves and are essentially tundral wastelands, despite once possessing trees. The cold climate has made it difficult for nature to reestablish itself here. Nevertheless many Sergal do call this area home, especially the tribes most devoted to retaking their ancestral homes.
- Hala - The southernmost island of the Broken Horn is ringed by tundra with a central glacier called The Howling Glacier. This place was thought uninhabitable until the Sergal were discovered living here. It is the native home of the Southern Sergal.
